Workers’ Compensation Training for Medical Providers
Medical providers play a critical role in the workers’ compensation system. At Hooton & Chen, we are aware many providers are confused and frustrated by workers’ compensation due to a wide spectrum of reasons, including but not limited to, seemingly cumbersome state regulations and voluminous paperwork associated with treating injured workers, countless insurance hoops one must jump through in order to get treatment authorized and bills paid, and general reluctance to be involved in litigation. Many medical providers have opted not to treat on-the-job injuries altogether.
Let our attorneys help you navigate the maze of Oregon workers’ compensation law. Attorney Bin Chen has experience representing both sides of workers’ compensation claims. He also has unique knowledge and training in claims operations. Our attorneys regularly present at CME events, residency programs, hospitals, and private medical practice groups. We strive to be educators of workers’ compensation in the medicolegal community. We have one simple mission—to work collaboratively with medical providers and improve injured workers’ access to medical care in Oregon. Our firm has two two-hour seminars available to medical providers and their staff members.
